On behalf of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, I would like to personally extend a warm invitation for you to join us for the 1st Annual Cancer Imaging and Intervention Conference taking place on April 5th – 8th, 2018 in Houston, Texas, USA.

This multidisciplinary multi-specialty oncology course will cover all aspects of cancer imaging and intervention. Core sessions include comprehensive, practical and relevant subspecialty tracks focused on abdominal, breast and cardiothoracic imaging, nuclear medicine, neuroradiology and interventional radiology, with an emphasis on the role of imaging in the multidisciplinary care of cancer patients. The interventional radiology program will be a comprehensive course on image-guided therapies for liver, lung, kidney and bone tumors including current concepts and future directions for image-guided biopsy, ablation and embolization.  Several focused case-based workshops will be presented, including those focused on PET-CT imaging, breast MRI, stereotactic and ultrasound guided biopsy. The Program Committee has brought together a diverse group of moderators and speakers for this event, including nationally and internationally recognized speakers.

The plenary sessions will include State-of-the Art lectures on cancer prevention and early detection, as well as current concepts and future perspectives on important contemporary and emerging imaging techniques including PET-MRI, optical molecular imaging, diffusion weighted imaging, quantitative imaging and image guided surgery.

The conference will be held in at the JW Marriott Houston, one of Houston’s top luxury hotels, delivering an authentic experience expertly curated for visitors. Houston – the home of NASA- is also the Culinary and Cultural Capital of the South, offering its visitors over 10,000 restaurants, world-class visual and performing arts events, and a wide array of diverse cultural experiences. The fourth-largest city in America, Houston is both dynamic and diverse, with more than 145 languages are spoken. A special Welcome Reception is planned for all attendees on Thursday evening, together with additional social events during the conference that offer the opportunity to meet and network with new and old colleagues.

In closing, I would like to sincerely thank and acknowledge the hard work and support of the organizing and scientific committees as well as the division of Diagnostic Imaging Executive Committee. This conference would not have been possible without all of their efforts and support.
